How To Choose Your Options

Stair options can seem endless. Here is a breakdown of all the options you are going to have to choose

1- What kind of Handrail do you want?

2- What kind of Post and Balusters do you want?

REMEMBER- You can mix and match everything! Just because you see a picture of a staircase, doesn’t mean your has to look exactly like that. I always tell my customers to pick out what you like individually. Start with the handrail you like best, then the post you like best and then the balusters you like.

3- Are you stairs on a Stubwall?

or do you have Open Treads?

4- If you have a stubwall we will put a piece of wood like the picture above, the only choice you need to make it if you want to paint it or stain it.

5- If you have open treads like the picture above you will need to decide. Do you want to have a flooring company put down flooring that matches?-Do you want solid treads? This option is only available with stain grade materials.

Do you want False Treads and have carpet run up the middle. You can choose to have false treads on one side only or have False Treads and Wall Treads.

Don’t Worry, You Are Almost Done!

6- Do you have a Pony Wall like this

that needs Cap and Trim, like this?

Lastly 7- Do you want decorative trim on your wall? They are called skirts and kicks.

The inside wall is called Kicks, like this-

The outside wall is called Skirts, like this-

Its a lot of options to choose from, but we will walk you through every step.
